Bijou
Gin, red vermouth, Green Chartreuse, orange bitters.
Gin, red vermouth and Green Chartreuse, in equal parts. Three jewels in one glass.
Profile: bitter, bold and classic. In the Italian aperitivo tradition.
Harry Johnson called it 'bijou', jewel, for the three precious ingredients shining in the glass. It's a relative of the Negroni, but more herbal and less Campari-bitter. Green Chartreuse carries 130 monastery herbs inside, and here you taste every one.
