Born in Sicily in 1868, Averna started as a monastic recipe a friar gave to a merchant in Caltanissetta. Dark citrus, Mediterranean herbs and a soft finish made it Italy's most recognisable amaro. At Jimmy we pour it neat or on ice — always cold.
